Lost Name Tag Missionary Report
Pic's from the Philippines - What a beautiful place, eh? The missionaries make it even more so.
What do you think of Jordi's apartment?
Elder Pincock says:
"I am doing well. My feet are fine. I wear my sandals every day. I love my sandals. I have to scrub the mud off them every morning before we go out though. I don’t wear my other shoes too much, unless it is raining hard, so that way my feet stay dry. I am very glad we got water proof shoes. I keep one pair, the nice pair that is not the rugged and tough ones, the ones that are fancier I keep and wear only to district meetings, zone conferences, and zone interviews. It’s nice to be able to wear sandals because it lets your feet breath so they do not sweat. When they wear out I will probably have you send me another pair."
"Ya, the restaurant that is in the pictures last time is a very nice restaurant. Guess what we ate! RICE! Every restaurant is rice. It is really good there though. They give you a big grilled chicken breast and unlimited rice. It’s good. They have some amazing buko salad there too."
"Me and my companion are getting along good. He has taught me a lot; he has been a district leader twice so he knows how to do missionary work - its good. We have been working very hard. We got 31 lessons taught this week and that was with out working for half the day on Saturday because of General Conference. It’s hard because we have been working so hard and for some reason a lot of our investigators are going down hill, they have not been attending church and we have been getting punted at teaching appointments, it sucks. Because we are working so hard Satan is doing his best to try and get our investigators to not progress. I guess we just need to work harder. I am jealous of the cold weather there; I wish it could feel like that here."
"We got to watch Conference on Saturday and Sunday. We watched it at the stake center. It was awesome. My favorite talk was on the Sunday afternoon session of conference by Elder Jeffrey R Holland. He gave an amazing and powerful talk, holy cow. I don’t think I have heard a talk so powerful and bold as that, it was awesome. Jeffrey R Holland is an amazing speaker and has an amazing testimony. If only all of our investigators could have been there to here it."
"I lost my name tag this week. It fell off while we were riding on a trike and I did not know. I did not know I lost it until we got to our appointment and our investigators asked were it was. So now I have to wear my other name tag that has a clip on it that I have to clip to my tie for 3 weeks while they have another one made, it sucks."
"Could you please send me some recipes of some easy and cheap food that I could make? Could you send me the recipe for stroganoff, the dinner meal that has rice and cream of mushroom soup and meat in it? I would greatly enjoy that if you could do that. I have found some awesome peanut butter here. Peanut butter is way expensive if you buy JIF peanut butter and it is in a really small container. I found some peanut butter that is fresh made from the Philippines, you can find it in every grocery story, and it is in a BIG bottle. I bought some of that for some protein. It is so good. I just eat out of it with a spoon. I have been eating a lot of peanut butter. That is like my favorite snack now."
"I love you so much and I hope to here from you soon."
Love Elder Jordi Pincock
When Owen saw these pictures, he said "Man, that appartment is so nice!" Guess his accomadations in Bolivia were "awful" compared to this.
